Are you caring for an aging family member? Aging My Way Home Care can also play a role in providing Respite Care. Perhaps you are a wife caring for a husband, or a daughter/son caring for her/his parents. You enjoy providing this care and want to continue, but sometimes you feel stressed out and could use a break to take care of yourself. There’s nothing wrong with this – it’s a normal feeling.
Our Respite Care services provide you with a well-deserved break. Allowing us to step in (as little or as much as you wish) will give you the time you need to feel on top of your own personal life as well.
You can use our services for a short period of time, such as a week that you are going on vacation, or an evening out. We can even provide services on a bi-monthly/monthly or casual basis. Whatever works for you, we will make a plan that is well-suited for everyone involved.
Just some of our Respite Care services include:
- Spending quality time with your loved one, such as playing a board game and cards, reading, and watching a movie together
- Prepping meals
- Light household tasks, such as vacuuming, dusting, and kitchen cleaning
- Helping with personal care such as monitoring bathing, dressing, and medication reminders
- Caring for pets
- Picking up prescriptions
- Transportation for errands.
Often, we see that when we provide relief with daily routines, allowing the family caregiver(s) more time for themselves, the relationship strengthens.
